There are lots of places you could set up to do an activation but I wanted to do it from Warrah Lookout which overlooks the entrance to Cowan Creek and has views right out to Broken Bay and Palm Beach.

There’s a fire trail road to the trig station but it’s usually gated off which means a walk of about 1.7Km. You can park just off Patonga Rd at the entrance to the trail. The walk is not particularly scenic - just a gravel road, but the view and the lookout is worth it. When you get to the trig, the lookout is about 500m further on down a well maintained path that involves quite a lot of stairs. The lookout is fenced so that made for a convenient support from my squid pole.

There were periodic showers today so I only had about 45 mins or so of airtime before spying another dark grey grey cloud bank approaching. Fortunately I had 19 in the log by then.
